I agree with GC here (I often do). As a SV Hunter I wasnt viable between the release of WotLK and 3.0.8. I knew there would be a buf at some point so I didnt mind. Lo and behold, 3.0.8 brought that buff. Im sure Im going to get nerfed again in the future since the buff is a bit much I suspect. It's a way of life and WoW is just a game, I'll be happy playing if Im not as viable as the next Hunter/dps-class.

Just my way of saying: Cheer-up David. We still think youre the best Priesthealer in the world and you'll be buffed into imbaness again soon enough.

Talking about Hpriests, Pedro removed Missholy from Easy yesterday. He said Missholy can help in a Naxx-10 if needed. Missholy is Pedro's GF's toon, but his GF cannot play her atm (no computer). Missholy will go back to trial in Easy at some point in the future. Anyhow, if we are stuck we can ask.

I'd love to have him raid with us one day, if must be on a priest, pally lock ot whatever :)

So I got around to Guardian Spirit. This is HPriest's 51-point talent, must be good eh? I was doubtful, but I tried it out a few times on our early Naxx runs - Base mostly tanking. Certainly worked nicely the few times I used it.

But here's the rub.

It won't work on any HPriest that specs spirit of redemption (i.e. all Hpriests, me included), because the death mechanic isn't right.

It won't work on DKs, because at 1HP they turn into ghouls, so don't die.

It won't work on druids in any form except basic, because feral/tree/moonkin druids change form at death to Nelf and this somehow messes up the Guardian Spirit. Blizz has been told repeatedly about this bug since WotLK release, but only acknowledged the problem quite recently.

In the last few weeks we have had Daniel and Hedzer and Stoffer tanking on druid and DK, and it has puzzled me that my guardian spirit seemed to land (it went to CD) but still you died. I thought I was doing something wrong, but turns out not. Apologies for not having checked this sooner.

You might wonder whether it is worth me speccing GS. I'm wondering too.

PRIEST

Divine Spirit – this spell is now a core ability available to all priests.
Discipline has access to a new talent, Power Word: Barrier. (Think of it as Power Word: Shield for your whole group).
Several area of effect (AOE) heal spells have been improved: Prayer of Healing can be cast on any groups in your raid party. Holy Nova’s mana cost has been reduced. Circle of Healing now heals for more.
Shadow priest PvP survivability has been improved: Shadow Form now reduces magic as well as physical damage. Dispersion now removes snares.
Penance – this spell can now be targeted on the priest.
Serendipity – this talent now reduces the cast time of Greater Heal and Prayer of Healing when Binding Heal or Flash Heal are cast.
We are also working to give Holy additional PvP utility.

Looks like (some) Buffs to me.

The priest buffs are looking better than they are today, divine spirit for all priests is nice as is the PW:B for disco specs - compelling my curiosity to go Disco and see how it feels.
