Bas you posted in the other post that the 5% penalty is beeing implemented this patch. It did today but I also read somewhere online today that you would need 174 hitrating with 3/3 in prescision...

Is that wrong? I wanted to calculate it for myself but couldn't remember the formula. Current HR 176

You omitted several rage generating talents I took on Coth. I guess rage is less of a problem with your gear?

I did take the glyph of heroic strike, which gives you 10 rage every time it crits (about 50% of the time due to the talents in prot tree)

Other than that no rage starvation so far.

I am not sure what the cap is, but I think its in the 14% ballpark (9%+5%) but I am sure there are exact numbers somewhre on EJ... unfortunately the search option does not work anymore for me there...

I also specced TG yesterday, I'll try to get a decent dummy session so we can compare notes. What was the average DPS you did on that session? I cant seem to find it in your pics.

Ok did some testing and wanted to compare it to your graphs.... But I could not. Here is why:

- Make sure you attack from behind, you have parries in there lowering your damage
- Make sure your whirlwind only hits a single dummy, not two. The amount of WW hits strongly suggests you were hitting two targets.

My results look a bit weird. I did 109 BT hits so a decent sample, but my crit% on abilities seemed off. Short summary:

Overall DPS was 1152 but it dropped from 1200 near the end
2515 AP with BS without trinket procs
37.66% crit with rampage on
144 HR (7% white miss no specials missed)
14/11 expertise (World Breaker/Gorehowl)
1.59% haste

1. 349 Melee - 36.5% (36.7% crit)
2. 109 Bloodthirst - 21.1% (48.6% crit)
3. 114 Whirlwind - 16.2% (42.1% crit)
4. 83 Heroic Strike - 16.1% (48.2% crit)
5. 50 Slam - 10.0% (60% crit)

I was pretty bad at keeping my HS queued since I found myself at 100 rage quite a few times. Also, I did not allways prioritise WW over BT as I think I should. I could get more rage from keeping zerker and bloodrage on cooldown and thus some more HS. I also missed the occasional Slam proc. But overall a decent first attempt.

edit: You're right, I noticed my WW hitting to many times as well. I did another one but I didn't save the data. I'll try making a new one.

Yes I went for enrage. I'll go grind a bit later today and see what the uptime is, would be nice to get that 10% boost :)

I'll also repeat my dummy test when my new interface is done and I get a bit more used to the new spec. Which glyphs are you using?

Glyphs:

- [Glyph of Battle] Increases the duration of your Battle Shout by 1 min.
- [Glyph of Bloodrage] Reduces the health cost of your Bloodrage ability by 50%.

Missing one minor glyph atm, might go for:
- [Glyph of Enduring Victory] Increases the window of opportunity in which you can use Victory Rush by 5 sec.
or
- [Glyph of Thunder Clap] Increases the range of your Thunder Clap ability by 2 yards. (but TC is not useable in zerker so prolly a bit unnesesary

Overall DPS was 1152 - 1235 dps overall

I didn't use any trinket CD's but i did use Death Wish and Recklessness every CD. The glancing hits were probably because I had to stand a bit to the side, I was hitting the other dummie with my WW...

Ah that looks alot more like my numbers. The most notable difference being the extra HS you can do, probably because you have more AP and I think therefore more rage to spend (and the damage being inflated by your crit% on them).
I seem to get more slams off, which proibably had something to do with the freakish high crit% I seemed to get on my BT that attempt.

yea 48% crit on BT is awesome... too bad you missed so many slams then.

Yeah I think it was a freaky steak of crits.

(BTW according to the numbers I only missed 2 slam procs, which I think is pretty good for a fresh respec :P)
