I thought I'd give you all a heads up on what I'm doing and also some links to what the other people from Groningen are doing.

As most of you know, me, Kim, Ingrid and Freek started W40k somewhere during the summer (weird time....). Stoffer and Joris are veterans, they both have been playing for 10 years I think. I'd eyed the game before when I was over at Stoffers place but never really thought about playing it too. Until somewhere in June, when I spent an evening watching Joris and Stoffer play a match. Afterwards Stoffer explained that w40k is a great excuse to spend an evening chatting and drinking beer. That was enough encouragement for me :)

So a lot of time lately has been spent painting, building, playing w40k :) We went to the Dutch GT, Joris wrote a tournament report here , and it was a blast. I played some tournament MtG in the past and never really liked the atmosphere on tournaments, too much people desperately wanting to win. This seems different to me, more relaxed.

So all in all, I've been playing w40k, but also been reading a lot. I've hardly played computer games, which is a first after 25 years... And I'm doing fine :)
