.... just discovered one of the most annoying things about not having the time (and being lazy), to read up on all upcoming patch changes. I had previously levelling mining (for gold), and tailoring (for all the BC bind on pick up patterns). For some time now, I have been meaning to change both professions to best in game dps professions, which from some desktop research appeared to be JC and enchanting.
I finally got off my arse and decided to make it happen, blowing all my cash on levelling both up (although enchanting is still some ways off)... only to find out today that tailoring was given a very nice boost in the recent patch, now making it best in game profession for dps casters. Sigh. I feel cheated. Oh well...
Ah bah :( Well if it makes
Ah bah :(
Well if it makes you feel better, I currently have skinning and herbalism on my warrior which are basically useless.... Even mining would at least benefit my tanking :) I hate professions...
Yeah that sucks. Luckily
Yeah that sucks. Luckily both JC and Encahnting are still very good professions for raiding.
What upgrade? I'm a level
What upgrade? I'm a level 450 tailor, haven't seen anything worthwhile. Nearly all professions give approximately +38Sp in some way or other. For example, jcs can make 3 runed dragon's eyes, worth about +38sp, enchanters can enchant +19sp on two rings, etc.
Lightweave Embroidery is the
Lightweave Embroidery is the best caster cloak enchant at the moment.
A.
Lol at all that useless
Lol at all that useless improvement, I can heal my tank for 500 damage over 60 seconds thanks to herbalism!
The new lightweave
The new lightweave embroidery is quite nifty - gives you a 50% chance to proc +250 SP for 15 seconds - basically procs about once every minute for 15 seconds. Equates to about 62.5 spell power bonus, minus the 23 haste enchant you would have had. If u argue that 1 haste = 1 spell power it is then equivalent to about 39.5 spell power bonus, altough for some builds haste is less useful than spell power. If u have tailoring just keep it for dps. Worst case scenario the SP bonus equals any other other professions, but is likely a bit better.
is now the right time to
is now the right time to tell you that JC will be nerfed?
blargh. I suppose the lesson
blargh. I suppose the lesson is not to chase professions for bonuses. I dont mind the whole idea of taking away the prismatic quality of the gems so much... that does seem to be quite a bit better than the other professions. However, if they do not upgrade the JC gems after epic gems are introduced, it will be a bit rough.
Yeah, it will be time to
Yeah, it will be time to level blacksmithing then :)
I am pretty sure blizzard
I am pretty sure blizzard will come with a solution, probably some new JC patterns self only. They work pretty hard on keeping the crafts balanced.
