I need more +hit/expertise on my tanking gear:

Teleute Icy Touch misses Sapphiron.
Teleute melee swing hits Sapphiron for 866 Physical.
Teleute Icy Touch hits Sapphiron for 1390 Frost. (Critical) (463 Resisted)
Teleute Plague Strike was dodged by Sapphiron.
Teleute attack was parried by Sapphiron.
Teleute Plague Strike was parried by Sapphiron.
Teleute melee swing hits Sapphiron for 946 Physical.
Teleute Plague Strike hits Sapphiron for 364 Physical.
At this point we're at least 7,5 secs into the fight, dps is happily chopping away.
Sapphiron attack was dodged by Base.
Ouch.
Teleute Heart Strike hits Sapphiron for 2408 Physical. (Critical)
Teleute Rune Strike hits Sapphiron for 1864 Physical.
Teleute Dark Command failed. Sapphiron was immune.
The Rune Strike was queued up and finally something with real threat hit him... If it hadn't, I guess the next line would have been a wipe:
Sapphiron Cleave hits Teleute for 6948 Physical.
2 lessons for me:
- get expertise
- stop using plague strike when tanking.... it does 0 threat

I have all the wotlk expertise enchants, if that's a help. Gemming otherwise I guess.

Nice read, you slacker! /hug

I have gemmed quit a bit of expertise in my tank gear, also i have the exp enchant on bracer. On top of that i use expertise food and elixir. But thats mainly coz i tank Dual Wield often lately and i wanna bring back the amount of parry's. Besides that it also increases threat, but not as much for me as it would for you.

Plague strike increases the dmg done by Icy touch, so it does increase ur threat. I dont know how much you use IT in ur rotation, but i use it 4x in a rotation of 14 abilities, which makes it for me worth it to keep using plague strike.

I don't have the talent that increases IT dmg, so the only reason to use PS is to increase threat of Heart Strike and Obliterate. I think it's ok to use PS later on in the rotation, but at the start it should be IT>Obliterate to generate as much instant aggro as possible.

IT is about 5% of my dmg, I only keep it up for the attack speed debuff. HS, Ob and RS are my biggest threat moves.

I'll have a look at regemming and enchanting towards expertise.

I remember running in, hitting the boss and then my WW critting and suddenly he was in my face! Thanks to my insane reflexes I dodged :P (And hit escape).

It indeed felt like I gave enough time (and I saw some threat up there) but I do know next time I'll look a bit harder at an absolute value. I decided it was fun to look at the timestamps and see if I indeed gave you that eternity to build threat I thought I did :P

21:37'37.338 Your first hit
21:37'40.151 Base starts autoattack
21:37'42.010 Base first special

So the first special is 5 seconds after you started. Maybe not much but at least its not too horrible on my side :D

About hit/exp: I indeed have a few gems dedicated to expertise, the exp/stam gem is very nice when you want to meet socket bonuses. (Red slot I think). I also have some +hit/+exp enchants (weapon, bracers) but I also made sure to have some gear with +exp. For example I chose an item with exp that was pretty close in stats over another item that had a bit more avoidance.

I am not too worried about capping hit/exp but with a few smart choices its definately possible to get close without many weird choices. As a result, I do think I have a bit lower HP than some of the other tanks (28k unbuffed? not sure)
